For us sweet sinners in the world, vindication represents a near unattainable cleansing of all past wrongs. Therefore, to be vindicated is to experience a blissful moment of clarity, or to be completely absolved of everything that makes you feel dirty, or wakes you up at night in a guilty sweat.
